THE LEGEND OF THE COUNTER
Nobody built the Money Counter. It was found, already running, in the basement of a bank that no longer exists. Green light on the display. Rollers already spinning. Nobody has ever seen it stop, restart, or need a new belt.
It does not care whose money it is. It does not care what the money is worth. It only cares that it goes through the rollers and comes out the other side, counted, stacked, respected. Some say if you listen closely at night you can still hear it — somewhere, always — going T-R-R-R-R.
